Curious

I'm curious how in America we could switch this up. I feel that a minimum wage is a way to keep people down. Both small business owners, and the workers that are being hired. I'm curious if a minimum wage could be expanded to a federal, state, and business minimum. Certain corporations that have thousands of workers and make X amount could offer higher wages. Like McDonalds. It's a symbiotic relationship. The wealthy CEO, or owner, creates jobs, but without those same low-level employees there would be no company. So the CEO or head management really shouldn't earn "4,000,000 times" more than the average earner. It's a confusingly-simple situation.
On the flip side there is the concern that small business owners would be hit the hardest and the economy would grow stagnant. However there is a missing point. There could be even more incentives to hand out to small business owners to help them incur the costs of paying higher wages, but also if employees are making more money, they are able to pay more into the business of the community/economy. This is how a true trickle-down economy could work. There would even still be a "wealthy" class, but perhaps this wealthy class only makes ten times the amount of the lowest earners. Guess what? Everyone wins, everyone willing to work, but if you work 40+ hours a week and still have trouble financially staying afloat, something is amiss. There are many factors that of course go into this, but still. This is only really aimed at the USA. Many other countries have greater/different economic challenges. Just a little rant and thoughts about financial wealth.
