Back to the Future: This time in Death!

But so full of Life! Yes the trees were blooming, and insects humming about wonderfully. It was a glorious day. Even when it began to rain it was still a very lovely day. As with many of these recent posts I have some more pictures from various places around town. Tentoku ji and Senshu park being the two. So without further ado, here we go!

1.) Here is an entry shot of Tentoku-ji Temple. The sun was rather bright, but I like being able to see the vibrant red of the trees to the left. So I left it as is.

2.) A closer view of the temple itself, very peaceful on the inside. I like how the sunlight is being captured here.

3.) The sun got a little in the way for me on this one, but I still like the angles of the temple. This is looking from the temple out to the road through the gate houses. One of which is guarded by two powerful Asuras.

4.) Another view of the temple. The roof is quite impressive as it looks to be made of mud and straw. Just inside the temple are original looking palanquins. Very fancy!

5.) A quite creek next to the cemetery part of the temple. A vivid reminder of the fleeting nature of life. Ah, Zen.

6.) A TREE! It's special to me!

7. and 8.) Two different views of the same building. One with a funeral block in the foreground (7.) and one with more emphasis on the spirit houses and the glorious natural setting.

10.) I really like the angle here. As a very wise women would say: Beautious.

11.) Reverse angle of the shot above. Looking back towards the temple.

12.) A Bumble-san was kind enough to pose while hard at work. Get that pollen!

13.) Here is the flower said Bumble-san was pollinating.

15.) Look at it!! No seriously, I enjoy these trees. Such power.

16.) In Japan they say: "Kero Kero". I say. "Hey mama! Look at it!"

17.) Here we switched locations to Senshu park. Really liked the flower in front and tried to grab some hydrangeas in the background with tree. It's quite lovely here.

18.) Closer shot of the flower from above.

19.) Giving some love to the Hydrangea.

20.) Panoramic view of an open area in Senshu.

21.) Liked the contrast, and lighting.

22.) It was raining at this point, but I wanted to capture the stairs from a lower angle with the trees.

23. and 24.) Enlightenment:

So looking back at the first pictures I took while here in Akita you can see just outside Senshu with giant lilly pads. Now the lilly pads are blooming into their Buddha nature, as highlighted by pictures 23 and 24. Again thanks for watching, and we'll catch you next time! Peace of love.
